Problem
After creating a Task through Avid, if you set a Reminder, you might get this error.
Cause
If your Avid configuration has Shared Folders configured, you might get this error.
When Emails, Appointment or Tasks are created from Opportunities, a copy of that item is sent to the Shared folders. That way other Avid Users will be able to see them.
But if you set a reminder on a Task, the copy to the Shared Folder might popup Outlook’s Reminder warning above.
Solution
This message is expected. Shared Folders don’t support Reminders.
You won’t see the copy opened under the reminder. It will be a popup without a reference.
You can click Yes or No. The copy with the Reminder is already copied.
Note: Starting with Avid version 8.4.311, Tasks are created without a Reminder, like Outlook does. If you’re on an earlier version, you will get the message more often.
We recommend staying current with Avid updates. This knowledge base article has more details.
