Problem
When installing Avid, you get this error, even though Avid was uninstalled.
Cause and Solution
This can happen if a 7.x version of Avid was uninstalled, or possibly if Avid was installed for a different user previously on that computer.
Your IT can download and run the attached Class ID Cleaner.
Unzip it, right-click it and click Run As Administrator. It should show results like this, but probably with different values.
Removed 542 class keys.
Removed 2387 class/CLSID keys.
Run the installation again. Continue through the prompts and Prohpet should be working.
Path Not Found?
Once installed and Outlook is opened, if Avid shows a “Path not found” error, click the Avid Tab, click Settings and click Rebuild Manager Folders.
