Problem
You don’t have the same Reports or Templates as other Avid Users.
Cause and Details
All “Avid” database is backed up daily.
Avid data includes all Outlook contact data plus any customized data added for Avid Use.
Also, all Company and Opportunity data is Avid only and saved in the database.
Avid’s database does not include Outlook items including e-mails, appointments or tasks. They are listed in Avid by asking Outlook to Search
Note that if your company takes advantage of Avid’s “Shared Folders” feature, Outlook items that are linked to Opportunities will also be copied to Public folders.
File Generation quotes and Report files are unique to each Avid user’s PC. They are saved in Documents\Avidian Technologies\Avid\Reports.
It is possible to attach Files to Avid Companies, Contacts and Opportunities. They could be on local or shared directories. They are also not duplicated in Avid’s Database.
Solution
You can copy the file from Documents\Avidian Technologies\Avid\Reports from one PC to another.
It is also possible to keep a network drive with the files and have each user point to them in Avid’s Settings. Please contact Support for details.
